Mobile TV in europe, what happened?
What happened?
I remember. . .It was really hot in 2006. Mobile TV was the next big thing?
In Korea almost the same amount people as the whole swedish population (8.2 million) has a mobile phone with TV-functionality. In Japan the number is 38 million. It seems to be a really nice ting to have.
In Korea and Japan, they just did it .. ..with their own standards. Korea squeezed in TV broadcasting in the european digital-radio standard (DAB) and created DMB. It seems to work well. The image quality is good and it even works in the bus.
In europe, we tried to agree in one standard. . . .. and failed. .. .at least until now. I hope that we can agree on something soon so I can get my very own swedish mobile-tv enhanced phone.
