Who would buy a car that only works well for a month or maybe two?

Every owner of a Windows computer has some problems with their Operating system.
Some windows computers are slow, some won’t sleep. . Some will give you bluescreen from time to time. .. Some will freeze frequently . . some will take like forever to start.. .Some needs a restart every hour .. . Some crashes from time to time.. .

Microsoft has had a monopoly situation .. . but that situation is actually no more…. 5 years ago you needed windows to be able to do your school work, maintain your business or play that favourite game of yours. When it comes to gaming, the monopoly is still there (if you don’t count wii/ps3/xbox).

When it comes to work or daily computing like internet surfing and other things windows is one of the worst operating systems you can use. The number one reason: you cannot count on it.

Linux and MacOSX is as user friendly (if not better). Still, around 85% are using Windows (according to w3, sept 2008).

So, if you are a windows user, do you recognize your daily usage in this movie?

The Matrix runs on Windows

After text, images, music and video it’s now the TV that will move to the internet. The latest free software in the category is LiveStation from Microsoft. It’s a great, free software that exactly does what it needs to. With this slim piece of software you can watch a number of tv-channels free of charge. For example, I have been watching BBC without any breaks on a quite bad internet-line.

It’s available for Windows, Mac and Linux. I think it’s worth a try.

Under de senaste 2 åren har jag registrerat min avlyssnade musik till tjänsten last.fm. Detta innebär att jag har samlat på mig mycket statistik gällande mitt musiklyssnande. Jag kan hitta nya “musik-tvillingar” och hitta ny musik. Jag kan också se vilken musik jag gillar bäst.
