Internet and Mobile Phones good for the nature

Ericsson claims that IT and mobile communication can lower the global emissions from CO2 with up to 35%. I have always claimed that it must be somewhat like this. Ericsson has done some reasearch about the total amount of CO2 emissions for one mobile phone subscriber (included the emissions from manufacturing, antenna towers, mobile phone charging and operator buildings etc.).

They claim that:

- One year of mobile usage will contribute as much C02 as one hour with a car on a motorway.
